    Phase II Solar Project Was Not Awarded in BC Hydro's 2025 Call for Power

    Based on the BC Hydro participant table, the m.ah a temEEwuh Phase II Solar Project does not appear to have received an Electricity Purchase Agreement in this procurement round.

    BC Hydro has published the participant results for its 2025 Call for Power. The m.ah a temEEwuh Phase II Solar Project was listed as a participant, but the EPA Award column does not show an award for that project.

    This appears to mean that Phase II does not currently have a BC Hydro Electricity Purchase Agreement from the 2025 Call for Power.

    This is an important development, but it does not end the broader issue. The original Phase I project remains active, and the proponent may attempt to reapply for Phase II in a future BC Hydro procurement.

    Our Next Priority: Seek Formal Clarification

    We are seeking written clarification on two key points:

    1. Confirm whether Phase II will be formally withdrawn from the current Environmental Assessment Office process.

    If Phase II has not received an Electricity Purchase Agreement and is not proceeding at this time, it should not remain embedded in the current assessment, project design, infrastructure planning, tenure planning, access planning, or cumulative effects assessment.

    2. Confirm whether Phase I is the northern project area and whether it remains outside the Logan Lake Community Forest.

    The community needs clear mapping and written confirmation from the proponent and/or EAO so residents understand exactly which lands are still proposed for development.

    Community Action Needed

    We are asking residents, tenure holders, local officials, and affected stakeholders to request written confirmation that:

    • Phase II has not received an EPA through BC Hydro's 2025 Call for Power.
    • Phase II will be formally withdrawn from the current EAO process if it is not proceeding.
    • Any future Phase II proposal would require a separate or substantially updated review process.
    • Phase I's final boundaries are clearly mapped and confirmed, including whether Phase I is the northern phase and whether it avoids the Logan Lake Community Forest.

    Note: This update is based on the publicly available BC Hydro 2025 Call for Power participant table. Phase II has not been declared permanently cancelled, and Phase I's exact boundary in relation to the Logan Lake Community Forest has not yet been formally confirmed by the proponent or the EAO. We are requesting written confirmation on both points.
